Dans le cadre de la Semaine des math\u00e9matiques<\/a>, le Mathematicum, en partenariat avec l’Institut Henri Poincar\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0(IHP) de Paris dans le cadre de ses missions scientifiques,\u00a0vous propose la projection du film \u00ab\u00a0Einstein et la relativit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, une histoire singuli\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Quentin Lazzarotto.<\/p>\n

La th\u00e9orie de la Relativit\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale d\u2019Albert Einstein a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 notre conception de la\u00a0gravitation, de l\u2019espace et du temps. D\u2019abord encens\u00e9e, puis oubli\u00e9e, et red\u00e9couverte,\u00a0l\u2019histoire de cette th\u00e9orie centenaire a marqu\u00e9 l\u2019histoire scientifique du XXe si\u00e8cle. D\u00e8s\u00a0sa naissance, surgit un probl\u00e8me math\u00e9matique qui aurait pu tuer la th\u00e9orie dans l\u2019\u0153uf : la\u00a0singularit\u00e9 de Schwarzschild. Accompagn\u00e9 par des grands physiciens relativistes internationaux, le film nous emm\u00e8ne \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de cette th\u00e9orie au destin singulier. Nous d\u00e9couvrons un univers \u00ab\u00a0courbe\u00a0\u00bb et finalement bien plus \u00e9trange qu\u2019Einstein lui-m\u00eame\u00a0n\u2019osait l\u2019imaginer, et dont certains astres comme les trous noirs d\u00e9fient encore les scientifiques aujourd\u2019hui…<\/em><\/p>\n
